Canyon REO Basic Kitchen

Our kitchen systems have been tested and refined during hundreds of river trips, and thousands of hours cooking on the river. We make sure that everything you will need to prepare food is included, clean, and in excellent working order. We provide general instructions for setup and use, if necessary.

On the river, there is no "right" and "wrong" way to do things. There are ways that work, and ways that don't. Our kitchens include sufficient equipment to get you started, with the flexibility to organize things the way that works best for your group.

If you opt for a Take Charge package, Canyon REO Basic Kitchen might fit your needs exactly. Available at a slight cost savings over the Canyon REO Deluxe Kitchen, the Basic Kitchen also takes up less room on your rafts than our Deluxe Kitchen. For a camp kitchen with all the bells & whistles, upgrade to Canyon REO’s Deluxe Kitchen.

Another great trip thanks to Canyon REO!

The gear was top-notch, the food was delicious, easy to find and prepare, and we didn’t have to spend our time figuring stuff out because Canyon REO’s systems are so great.

Affordable and organized, just exactly what we’d hoped for!

The Fine Print

Canyon REO is an outfitting company, providing equipment and support to make sure you have a great trip. This assumes that you and your trip participants have some outdoor experience. Whitewater rafting carries inherent risks and the Grand Canyon is an extreme climate, offering a remote and challenging wilderness experience. If your group has no previous rafting experience, please consider a guided trip through Grand Canyon with professional guides through Arizona Raft Adventures or one of the other commercial outfitters listed on the National Park Service’s Grand Canyon website.
